Veterans Memorial Park of Blaine
Materials, Manpower & Donations Needed

The MC&MCA have been approached by John Bauer, a former Model Stone and Cemstone employee and board and committee member, and Steve Guider, president of the project, to ask for our support and assistance.

The mission of the Veterans Memorial Park of Blaine is to pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of our nation’s service members, veterans, and their families. The park will be located across the street from Blaine City Hall located at the corner of 109th and Radisson Road. The park will consist of 18 different monuments honoring the service and sacrifice of all members in the history of our nation’s military.

Bauer indicated that concrete will be used and needed for the monument bases, walkways, and trails. Concrete contractors will be needed to place the concrete. Not all monuments will be built at once. Guilder oversees fundraising and is offering a “Buy A Brick” program to generate some of the money needed. There is also a “Donor Wall” program for bigger donors. Both the MC&MCA Membership Committee and Board expressed interest and support of the project and thanked John Bauer for bringing it to our attention. If you or your company are interested in getting involved in this project you can contact Steve Guilder or John Bauer.
