January 23: Breakfast Meeting - Durable Concrete Solutions - Admixture & Additive Technology
Presented by: Todd Spindler (SIKA)
Location: Midland Hills Country Club - Roseville, MN
Credits: Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance for one hour.
Details: Registration opens at 7:00 am. A full hot breakfast buffet will be served beginning at 7:15 am. The presentation will begin at 8:00 am and will conclude by 9:00 am.
Cost: $20 (early bird) for members and $30 (early bird) for non-members.  EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION ENDS FRIDAY.
Presentation Description: This presentation will highlight current concrete admixture and additive technologies for improved design performance. Density, water tightness, consolidation, crack limitation, and corrosion protection concepts will be discussed.



February 19: MN Concrete Forum - Peavy Plaza Rehabilitation
Presented by: BJ Siljenberg, PE (Barr Engineering Company)

Details: Registration opens at 9:30 am.  The presentation begins at 10:00 am and will conclude by 11:30 am.

Presentation Description: Originally built in 1975, Peavey Plaza is an outdoor public space on Nicollet Mall in the heart of Downtown Minneapolis. This presentation will discuss some of the highlights of the revitalization project include restoring the plaza’s fountains and water features, adding more durable and environmentally friendly paving materials, updating lighting and making design updates to ensure the plaza is compliant with the Americans with Disability Act.



February 27: Breakfast Meeting – Moisture Mitigation in Existing Slabs
Presented By: Matt Sheehan, PE (Concrete & Construction Consultants, LLC)

Presentation Description: Moisture-related problems with floor coverings and coatings applied over concrete slabs have become a serious and costly issue for designers, constructors, manufacturers, installers, and owners. Problems are being experienced on both new and renovation projects. For renovation projects, the contractor must deal with existing slabs that may emit higher levels of moisture than can be tolerated by the new floor covering system. This presentation will discuss many of the options currently used to help with moisture-related problems on renovation projects and existing slabs.
