MCAA Midyear Meeting Registration Is Open

 

The MCAA is happy to announce that registration is open for the 2020 Midyear Meeting scheduled for September 13-17 in French Lick, Indiana. The MCAA is excited to resume regular face-to-face meetings after several cancellations. The French Lick Resort is open and excited to host our industry. The resort has continued making progress toward fully opening and is hopeful to see that happen by July 4.

TUESDAY, JULY 7: Silica Train-The-Trainer Renewal

 

The MCAA's Silica Train-The-Trainer Renewal Course will retrain a key employee to train other employees to be a competent person with regard to the written exposure control plan. Certificates will be provided to those who complete the program and training will be good for two years.

New OSHA Clarifications Impact The Masonry Industry

 

OSHA has had numerous recent rulings and interpretations that have been good for our industry. Just yesterday, they announced further clarification on a COVID interpretation that was released earlier this year. In the earlier interpretation, they stated that if you wrote down temperatures of employees while screening for the day that you needed to keep them for 30 years. In addition, they also stated that any screening paperwork asking about COVID symptoms would also need to be kept for 30 years.
