MCMCA's Food for Thought Event - Register Today!

On Tuesday, April 4 from 7:30-9:00 AM we will be holding our second hybrid "Food 4 Thought" event. American Engineering Testing (AET) on University and Cleveland in Saint Paul will host the event. The address is 550 Cleveland Ave North.

The first 40 registered attendees will hear from three presenters giving up to a 20-minute presentation each. Food and coffee will be provided.

1. Mike Davey, CSI, CDT, LEED AP of Amcon Concrete Products, LLC will present “Pre-Insulated Concrete Masonry” about new pre-insulated CMU systems that will meet the current MN Energy Code and how they work.

2. John Thomas of TCC Materials will present “Low-Dust Admix” including a short video showing the difference between standard corefill mix and a low dust version of corefill being dispensed into Spec Mix silos.

3. Larry Nelson and Ben Nelson of Enduracon Technologies, LLC will give a presentation on Forta Ferro macro fiber, which is used to reduce plastic and hardened concrete shrinkage, improve impact resistance and concrete toughness. This macro fiber offers maximum long term durability, structural enhancements and effective secondary/temperature crack control. In many cases it can be used in the substitution of wire mesh and rebar.
