Grinding disks

Zach Everett
Corporate Safety Director, Brazos Masonry, Inc.
MCAA Safety Committee Co-Chairman

A co-worker recently sent me a photo of a man with a large piece of a grinding wheel stuck in his face. It was gruesome and disturbing at best. He wasn't wearing a face shield when the disk blew up. I don't know if he was pushing too hard, if it was the wrong disk for the grinder or if the disk was damaged before hand... the result was the same; a 6" piece of disk had to be extracted from his jaw, teeth, lips, etc... Safety is for a reason.

Why is safety important for Superior Masonry? Two very simple reasons, the first being the wellbeing of our greatest assets, our employees. You owe to your employees to make sure they are working in a safe environment. The second reason are the dividends checks.
