MC&MCA Contractor Appointed to Executive Board of Mason Contractors Association of America

Good news that the MC&MCA will now have a voice at the national level to help shore up the Masonry industry. Last week at the World of Masonry Show, which is held within the World of Concrete in Las Vegas, the Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA) elected one of our own, Dick Dentinger, of B&D Associates, Inc. to the Executive Board of MCAA. After many years as an active member of MCAA including two stints as Committee Chair of the MCAA Membership Committee and as MCAA Minnesota State Chair, Dick Dentinger will now begin his service on the executive board accepting the position of Secretary.

B&D Associates has a proud history of making an effort to be active in the associations that have influence and value to our industry so that there will always be an opportunity for profitable and thriving careers at all levels in our industries. Like his brother, Bill Dentinger, III, Dick has been active throughout his career at the state level at our own MC&MCA for the last twenty-five years including a term as our President.

We are fortunate B&D will be volunteering Dick Dentinger’s time and service to the executive board of our national association as our Minnesota contingent will have a voice representing our interests at the highest level.

An interesting side note to this news is Dick’s father, Bill Dentinger, Jr., who had a highly respected masonry business out of Milwaukee, WI during his career, also served on the executive board of MCAA in the 1980’s. While decades apart, this will be the first time in MCAA’s long history that a father/son duo will have served on the executive board.

In addition at the MCAA Annual Meeting, Dave Joslin of Donald R. Frantz Concrete Construction was simultaneously appointed by MCAA to replace Dentinger as the Minnesota State Chair to the MCAA. Similarly, Donald R. Frantz Concrete Construction has a long history of doing their part in providing stewardship to our industry. Joslin has been a force in our local MC&MCA and will most certainly bring plenty of fresh ideas and energy to the MCAA from MN.
