Masonry from the Web

Architectural firm FJMT revealed this art deco inspired 22 story multi-residential development in Sydney Australia.

The artistic impressions of the project reveal a façade that appears to be split in half down the center, with two curved sections at the top sloping towards the center like the bottom of a wine glass. That's a creative use of masonry!

Using Air Barriers in Masonry Walls

In winter, warm moist air moves outward through the wall, becomes colder, and its relative humidity rises. When interior air at 70° F and 50% relative humidity is cooled to 50° F, its relative humidity increases to 100% and condensation occurs.
