IMI Seminars in Sioux Falls and Rapid City – September 2019!

Flashing, Moisture Control, and Movement Joints

This is a two-seminar event for a total of 2 LU/HSW. The first part will discuss flashing and moisture control in masonry buildings. Moisture management is essential to protecting building occupants as well as the building from damage from excessive moisture accumulation. Building materials that are exposed to prolonged damp conditions can lead to mold, bacteria growth as well as corrosion of steel and failure of adhesives. The second part will focus on best practice for design and construction of expansion and control joints to accommodate and/or restrict masonry material movement.
