Description
The silica train the trainer program we will be conducting in Minneapolis, MN on August 21st.  This class has been developed by theMCAA in conjunction with a law firm that is very familiar with the new silica rule and specializes in OSHA compliance.  The course is designed to provide the tools for a person (or several people from your company) to bring the program back home and teach it and credential designated competent people on staff and also provide them the tools to teach a shorter one hour program to anyone in your company, which is required by the new rule.  Once successfully completing the class, each trainer will receive a certificate and card of completion and access to the following:

1.  Powerpoint presentation for the competent person requirement
2.  Test for competent person credential
3.  Powerpoint presentation for the general employee requirement
4.  Test for general employee credential
5.  All the above materials in Spanish
6.  The ability to submit competent people and general employees to the MCAA for certificates and cards to show they took the course as well.

In addition, if you are an MCAA member, you will have access to the required written program (the training in the train the trainer program is based on the written program as required by the rule). The program can be accessed on-line in the members section of our site and you simply log-in and customize the written program for each job-site you have.  You can make and modify as many programs as you need throughout the year and they are saved in your member profile in case an employee asks for a copy.  These tools would help tremendously in complying with the new rule which will begin to be enforced September 23.  The rule in it’s entirety and how to comply will be discussed in the course as well.  I have attached a link to register for the program.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
